Mulcahy to lead Lismore

February 03, 2010
Tomas Mulcahy will manage the Lismore hurling club in Waterford this year.

Lismore lost last year's Waterford SHC final to Ballygunner after a replay and have landed a high-profile manager in the form of TV pundit Mulcahy - himself a former Cork and Glen Rovers star.

Club chairman Declan Doocey is delighted to have Mulcahy on board as Lismore bid for a first county title in 17 years:

"We know that Tomas has a lot to offer us and we believe that we will have a lot to offer him.

"Between us, I hope that we can bridge that very narrow gap that saw us falling so tantalisingly short in last year's title race."
