UCC win on Sigerson's first day

UCC, University Limerick and St. Mary's were victorious on the first day of action in this year's Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup.
The Cork college, who will contest Saturday's McGrath Cup final against Kerry, were pushed to their pin of their collar by a strong Dublin IT side. It took 20 minutes of extra time to seperate the sides.
UL edged out Carlow IT by a solitary point while St. Mary's were 12 point winners over MICL.
