Cork junior clubs finally have their say

History was made at last night's Cork county board meeting in Pairc Ui Chaoimh when junior clubs were represented for the first time. Until now, only senior and intermediate clubs had been entitled to attend board meetings, with junior clubs not having a say in matters such as manager appointments. But following on from last year's bitter players' strike, a vote was taken at county convention before Christmas to allow junior clubs to attend board meetings. As many as 300 delegates are now allowed to attend Cork county board meetings.
