Miskella remains a Cork concern

June 27, 2009
John Miskella is Cork's only injury worry ahead of Sunday week's Munster SFC final against Limerick at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. The Ballincollig man had been a doubt for the replayed Munster semi-final against Kerry after straining his hamstring in the drawn clash, but he was passed fit to start and produced a superb display from wing back. However, Rebels boss Conor Counihan says Miskella's fitness remains a concern ahead of the provincial decider. "He's nursing a bit of an injury at the minute, but we're hopeful enough," he said. "He's the only doubt we have at this stage. I do say touchwood as it's that time of the season where guys have been through a hard of week of championship and the bodies are knocked about a bit and the slightest thing at training can aggravate things again. "All in all, we'd be reasonably happy with the way things are."
