Cusack Park is expected to be confirmed as the venue for Sunday week's Clare SHC final at a CCC meeting tonight, despite currently undergoing a €2.3 million revamp.

There is likely to be huge interest in the meeting of Sixmilebridge and Clonlara and there has even been calls for the south-east Clare derby to be played at the nearby Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. But despite Cusack Park's reduced capacity and concerns over health and safety, Banner chiefs are confident it will be fit to host the final, which could yet be made all-ticket.

When the redevelopment works commenced at the beginning of last month, it was expected that the venue would be out of commission for several months, but all the major club games have continued to be played there.
