Brennan eager to bounce back

Louth's Anthony Williams with Clare's Shane Brennan during the NFL Division 3 game at a foggy Drogheda.

Clare forward Shane Brennan feels that it is imperative for them to bounce back in their next league match.

Following an impressive start to the campaign against Wexford, the Banner came undone against Louth last weekend.

Brennan admitted to the Clare Champion that they were bitterly disappointed by the result, but added that a return to form in round three is imperative.

"As Colm said, if we want to go anywhere, we're going have to beat the likes of Fermanagh and Armagh anyway," said Brennan.

"We haven't lost any chance of promotion, just like if we'd won against Louth, we wouldn't have been promoted. We're just going to have to pick ourselves up for the next few weeks.

"A break mightn't be any harm. We've got over the first two games and it might be no harm to just reassess where we're at and get a few things right."
