Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald says he is looking forward to next year's Munster SHC quarter-final with Limerick and insists that the Treaty men will not fear his side.

The two teams were drawn against each other on Thursday night and Fitzgerald believes that his side will now have to be ready for a stern challenge from Limerick in the early part of next summer.

"It's a tough draw but it's one we'll be looking forward to," Fitzgerald told Clare FM.

"It's probably a while since we've met Limerick in a Munster championship game. It should be a big one. It's going to be an early one, some time in May. We have to be ready a bit earlier than normal.

"Limerick had a very decent year last year and they won't be afraid of us - that's for sure. I think it will be a really good match, really tough and one we'll look forward to."
