Donnellan delighted to get second chance

Clare's Patrick Donnellan
Clare captain Pat Donnellan is "delighted to have another day out".

The Banner County earned an All-Ireland SHC final replay thanks to Domhnall O'Donovan's dramatic late, late intervention at Croke Park on Sunday evening and Donnellan is looking forward to September 28th:

"I suppose there's excitement that we have another chance the next day," he tells The Irish Daily Mirror.

"With ten or 15 seconds to go, we thought we were coming home with nothing. We're just delighted to have another day out and we'll look forward to it.

"It was great that we had a chance, at least, because we thought it was nearly over, to be honest.

"Fair play to Donie: he saw the space, tore up and he's a very solid man, a very solid character. And it's justified that someone like him was hitting it at the end."
