Minors - Division One Semi-Final
The Division 1 Championship semi-final between Ballyhaise and Cavan Gaels ended in a draw last Wednesday night in Drumlane. Ballyhaise got off to a flying start with two goals scored by Jamie Conaty and Francis Moore in the first ten minutes.

However despite creating chances and playing well they missed a number of gilt edged scoring opportunities during the half and they found themselves just one point ahead at half-time. Cavan Gaels came out strong in the second half and went a point ahead after ten minutes. The game swung back in Ballyhaise's favour with a fine goal by Jamie Conaty, his second of the game, and two converted frees by Francis Moore gave Ballyhaise a four point lead with just ten minutes remaining. Cavan Gaels fought back strong, however, and closed the gap to just one as the game entered injury time and with the last kick of the game they equalised to stay in the competition.

The replay will be played on Wednesday September 8th at a time and venue that has yet to be announced. Ballyhaise will hope to play better next day out after a patchy performance in this game. Too many players were below par but at least they have a chance to play to their potential in the replay and claim a place in the final.

Reserves
The Division Two and Three Reserve teams were involved in league semi-final action over the weekend. There was a double cause for celebration as both teams booked their place in the finals. First up was the Division Three side who defeated close neighbours Laragh on Saturday afternoon on a score line of 2-11 to 0-14. The Division Two reserves followed suit with a four point victory over Bailieborough on Sunday morning. The final score was 3-5 to 0-10. Well to both teams and their management.

U-14
Well done to the U-14 team who won the first round of the championship last Monday night. The defeated Drumlane by two points in a tightly contested and exciting match.
