SFC: Gaels draw Mullahoran in semis
August 30, 2010

Cavan Gaels ace Seanie Johnston
Four-in-a-row chasing Cavan Gaels will meet old rivals Mullahoran in the semi-finals of the Cavan senior football championship.
The defending champions edged past a brave challenge from Cuchullains on Friday night to emerge 2-9 to 1-9 winners at Kingspan Breffni Park, while the Dreadnoughts ended Castlerahan's hopes on Sunday with a 0-10 to 0-5 win at the same venue.
The other semi-final will see Ramor United and Kingscourt Stars battle it out for a place in this year's senior showpiece, after both sides scored one-point wins over Lacken and Gowna, respectively, on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, there were also wins for Belturbet, Lavey and Ballinagh in Sunday afternoon's relegation play-offs, meaning that Crosserlough, Denn and Redhills enter into the last four to avoid the drop down to the intermediate ranks along with Killygarry, who received a bye in the opening round.
In the junior championship this past weekend, Shannon Gaels booked their place into the semi-finals after seeing off a stiff test from fellow westerners Templeport by 1-12 to 1-9.
