SENIORS 
Having booked their place in the Quarter Finals of the Senior Championship, Castlerahan Seniors resumed their league campaign with a hard fought point at home to Lacken on Saturday last.  Having trailed their counterparts by six points with just six minutes remaining it looked as though Lacken would leave with full points; however a late rally with scores from Ronan Flanagan, Sean Brady and Cian Mackey meant the sides finished all square at the final whistle.  
The seniors are back in Championship action at Kingspan Breffni Park on Sunday 29th August where they take on Mullahoran in the quarter final. Throw in is 7.30pm.   
 
JUNIORS 
The juniors had a resounding victory on Tuesday night last when they defeated Lacken on a scoreline of 1-15 to 2-06.  Lacken got off to a poor start after their weekend Championship defeat and only registered a single point in the opening half.  Castlerahan on the other hand, started the game brightly and points from Stephen Wright, Stephen Coleman and Paul Smith among others saw them take a ten point lead as the half time break approached.  A goal for the home side in the dying minutes of the half from wing back Enda O'Connell all but finished the game as a contest.  To Lacken's credit they dug deep in the second half and outscored Castlerahan comfortably but they couldn't peg back their opponents as the half time gap proved just too big a mountain to climb.   
 
BLOTTO 
Proceeds from the Blotto will go towards Castlerahan GAA for the next four weeks.  This week's jackpot is €4,300.  Tickets will be available in town on Saturday and in most shops and pubs throughout the week.  Please support.  
 
MONTHLY MEETING 
The September monthly meeting will take place on Wednesday 8th at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members are welcome to attend. 
 
U14 CHAMPIONSHIP 
The U-14 Championship will start on Monday next, 23rd August.  Castlerahan received a bye in the opening round and won't be in action until the round of the semi finals.  Please check local media for fixture information.
