On this Sunday, 5th July at 6 p.m., Cornafean ladies will take on their near neighbours Killeshandra in the Div 4 9-A-Side League Final at a venue to be decided. Both teams have already met in the competition with Killeshandra emerging victorious by a point after a titanic struggle and this suggests Sunday evening's encounter should be a very close and exciting match. The Reds reached the final by virtue of wins over Mountnugent, Shannon Gaels and Swanlinbar twice. The girls have been working hard all year since moving up to the Div. 3 League and hopefully a big crowd will turn out to cheer them on Sunday evening in the 9-A-Side Final.
Best of luck Girls.
See local papers for venue.
On Friday evening last Cornafean played hosts to Kildallon in the league. In a game that Cornafean never looked like winning Kildallon had the game won within the first 20 minutes. The final score on the day 2-10 to 0-07. Best for Cornafean were James Cullen and Mark Johnston.
There will be a meeting in the sports hall Thursday 2nd July at 9pm to discuss an away trip to a soccer match. Can all U12 and U14 parents please attend.
