Ramor United Club Notes
June 18, 2009
U-8 & u-10 Training;
Saturday mornings at 10am. New players always welcome. We would ask that all children are registered with the club.
U-12's;
Well done to the U-12 team, they have reached the semi-final stage of the League. They will play Castlerahan on Monday, June 15th in Virginia at 7.30pm. Please support this game.
U-14's;
Commiserations to the Ramor A team who lost out to Bailieboro on Wednesday evening last in the league. They gave a very good account of themselves during their campaign.
Hard luck to the U-14 Ramor B team who put up a very spirited display against Lavey in the final of the Shield on Wednesday evening last.. Unfortunately, despite a major second half revival, they lost out to a stronger side. Nonetheless, it was a major achievement for the team to have done so well with most of the players being underage again next year .
Senior Championship;
Ramor lost out to Castlerahan in the opening game of the Championship on Saturday last in Breffni Park. While Castlerahan started off well, Ramor came into the game, despite numerous wides, and there was but a point separating the sides at half time. The second half was another matter, with Castlerahan piling on the pressure and Ramor struggling to cope. The final score was 1-16 to 0-8. Luckily, Ramor will have another chance in the competition, when they will play Gowna. Hopefully, a lot of the injury worries will have cleared up and the team will have a chance to regroup and improve for the next day!
