Manager Jim Greene has welcomed Des Murphy back into the Carlow senior hurling fold, with the Christy Ring Cup opener against London looming. The player was axed from the squad last week but should now feature when the Barrowsiders host the Exiles on Saturday in DCP: "We had a difficulty with the challenge match that he played in. We have resolved the situation and have sat down with Dessie. "We had a chat about the whole scenario. It was an unfortunate time for Dessie and us. We reviewed the whole thing and felt we would have been victimising the player if we'd kept him out. "A lot of what happened that week was not all his own fault. He was a victim of circumstances.
