Carlow star in dock

August 27, 2010
Carlow footballer Eric McCormack is under investigation from the county's CCC after he was alleged to have struck a linesman during a club game.

McCormack was sent off by referee Pat Kehoe during Eire Og's loss to Old Leighlin in the SFC last weekend and allegedly there was an altercation involving the Carlow player and linesman Martin Murphy when the player was leaving the field.

The Carlow county board are not awaiting the referee's report before deciding on what their next course of action is, but if McCormack is found guilty, he could face a lengthy suspension.
