Croydon Camogie Club AGM
January 23, 2012
Croydon Camogie Club held a successful Annual General Meeting on the 14th January 2012 to kick-start a new camogie season.
Proceedings were opened by Chairperson Rita O' Mahoney, with a lively account of the events of last year - both on and off the pitch! Congratulations were extended to three of our current players who have recently gotten engaged. Club Secretary Bridget Hehir outlined the numerous competitions that Croydon participated in throughout the season, with varying success.
The election of officers for 2012 was a smooth process, with plenty of enthusiasm and eagerness from members to take on roles. Rita O'Mahoney again stepped up to the post of chairperson with Clare Curtin in the vice-chairperson position. The club secretary position will be in the capable hands of Bridget Hehir again, with Jenni McGivney acting as assistant secretary. Sharon McNeela will take care of the club's purse strings as treasurer for another year. Elaine Dunphy stepped up to the position of Development Officer, with some exciting underage development plans already in place for the New Year. Anne Browne will act as Public Relations Officer for another year. All the club officers will be supported by the general committee consisting of Katie Forde, Louise Molyneaux, Rosita Harvey, Sue Keatley, Mary Dalton and Sinead O'Donoghue.
A new social committee was formed with Jenni McGivney, Mary Dalton and Alison Kelly stepping up to the challenge. With this new committee in place Croydon will continue to have fun both on and off the pitch!
2012 is shaping up to be a well organised year for Croydon Camogie Club, and the Croydon girls are determined to make 2012 a memorable year for the club!
