Meath Camogie news

December 22, 2008
Meath Camogie had Great Success at National Level in 2008 and with John Davis ratified for another year as The Meath Junior Camogie Team Manager, he has already got proceedings underway for the forthcoming year where training commenced in the past three weeks ago. Although he underwent an operation himself for an old knee injury only a few weeks ago he still made it out to training. The coming year should prove to be another big step for Camogie in Meath as his team will play in Division 3 of the National League and also for the first time play in the All Ireland Junior Competition where playing in Croke park on All Ireland Camogie Sunday is a possibility. John will have his team out against the Green Star Award winners of 2008 on the 9th January 2009 in Trim at 7.30pm where he hopes to start of the New year on a good note and also possibly scout some players for the coming year. The fixtures for the new year are as follows : National League Division 3 1st Feb Laois V Meath 8th Feb Meath V Dublin 1st March Meath V Offaly 15th March Armagh V Meath 22nd March Down v Meath 5th April Play - Offs 12th April Final Gala New Ireland - All Ireland Junior Championship 2009 20th June Meath V Antrim 4th July Laois V Meath 25th July Meath bye 1st August Play - Offs 8th August All- Ireland Semi-Finals 13th August All - Ireland Final The Meath Camogie Board would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas & the Very Best Wishes for 2009.
