Kenny debuts for Wexford

June 30, 2006
Ciaran Kenny makes his championship debut for Wexford in Sunday's Leinster hurling final against Kilkenny. Kenny is one of two changes from the side which edged out Offaly in the semi-final with PJ Nolan also coming into the side. Kenny will form a new midfield partnership with Eoin Quigley, with Mossy Mahon making way. Nolan, who was introduced as a substitute against the Faithful County, is named at left half forward to the exclusion of Michael Jacob - who scored the winning goal in the 2004 Leinster semi-final against the Cats. And there is no starting place for Darragh Ryan, who returned to training last week after injury, with David 'Doc' O'Connor continuing at full back. Wexford (SH v Kilkenny): D Fitzhenry; M Travers, D O'Connor, K Rossiter; R Kehoe, D Ruth, D Lyng; E Quigley, C Kenny; R McCarthy, D Stamp, PJ Nolan; S Doyle, R Jacob, M Jordan.
