Should Liam Dunne decide to seek another year as Wexford manager, he looks set to have to beat off competition from a number of nominees.

Dunne has hinted that he will seek a sixth year in charge of the Wexford hurlers, but he may have to go through the process of being interviewed for the position again if as expected a number of candidates let their names go forward.

Already current Oulart the Ballagh manager Frank Flannery has expressed an interest in the role, while another Cork man Jerry Wallace has also been touted for the position.

Wexford chairman Diarmuid Devereux told the Wexford People that they are seeking nominations from the clubs for both senior hurling and football managers.

"We will discuss the matter following the closing date (Friday, August, 19th)," stated Devereux.
