The Wexford senior football management team have revealed that they will only speak to the media on the Tuesday night before NFL and championship games.

This means that the management team will not be speaking to the media in any regard only on the chosen night.

A memo released states: "Wexford senior football management will have specific procedures in place for all media to abide by for the coming football season. We recognise that media contact is important and necessary but hope that the media will respect our procedures and abide by the rules laid out.

There are three rules being laid out by the Wexford management team and they include that the manager David Power will only speak to the media on a Tuesday night after training and no other time.

Players must consult with management before giving an interview to the media and lastly no media will be allowed into the dressingroom after matches with a member of the management team giving post match interviews.

It is an unusual stance for a county management team to take and the local press will be hit hardest by the decision taken.
