Saints wait on injured duo

Wexford's Diarmuid O'Keeffe

St Anne's will be hoping that two key players prove their fitness ahead of Sunday's county SHC final against Shelmaliers.

Both Diarmuid O'Keeffe and Kevin Whelan are struggling to shake off knocks received in last weekend's SFC quarterfinal against St Fintan's.

O'Keeffe suffered a broken nose in an off the ball incident, while Whelan injured his ankle, but St Anne's manager Darragh Ryan is hopeful that both will be ok.

"Dee was still a bit shaken on Sunday morning, but should be fine, while Kevin's ankle with treatment should see him fine," Ryan told the Wexford People.

Shelmaliers have a full squad to choose from and the favourites will be hoping to live up to that tag at Wexford Park on Sunday afternoon.
