Despite having just knocked the All-Ireland champions out of the running, Liam Dunne wasn't getting carried away after Wexford's three-point extra-time replay victory.

Speaking to RTE shortly after the final whistle, the Model County boss said: "It was a great game again, to go to extra-time, who would ever have believed it.

"It's fabulous for the people of Wexford.

"Unfortunately, it's the first round of the qualifiers and we've another game next week but, look it, it's great to still be in the championship."

"Clare proved why they are All-Ireland champions. We put them to the pin of their collar last week, went 10 points up and, in fairness to them, they came back. They're great champions.

"We look back to last year, the way Clare led the way.

"I have to give our fellas great credit as well to be fair to them." Tweet
