JJ Doyle has no concerns about the fitness of Wexford's U21 trio Conor McDonald, Liam Ryan and Jack Guiney ahead of tomorrow's SH Qualifier replay against Clare.

All three will feature on Liam Dunne's side in Wexford Park this weekend, having starred on Doyle's U21 combination that secured back-to-back provincial titles in Parnell Park on Wednesday night.

"The fatigue thing, we had Liam Ryan at full back, I don't think I've come across a fitter chap. He didn't have a huge amount of long running; Conor Mac the same - he played the 70 minutes on Saturday. Jack Guiney played 60 minutes," the Model County's U21 boss told The Irish Independent.

"Liam was the only one that played the full 90. But they're young men. They're obviously well able for it.

"The last thing you want is them being over-trained so we tried to keep them fresh, you want lads hungry. You don't want them being over-hurled. Listen, they've gained great experience. They're young men.

"That's what young lads are like for you. It takes us older lads longer to recover from things.

"The boys will be flying. I guarantee you that when they get the crowd behind them in Wexford Park, like, the crowd of Wexford people we have here, the adrenaline they will get from the crowd at Wexford Park on Saturday evening will be phenomenal.

"Nothing is a matter of time. It's not going to start happening just because the boys won. It will have to be made happen but I believe it can be made and I believe in the next number of years, we'll be there or thereabouts.

"I've only been involved with it for two years and we won two Leinsters. I think it's going pretty well but it's about winning a big match at senior level first.

"I think it's giving these lads belief and hopefully that will transfer, so we can get across the line in games like last Saturday."
