Brosnan targets Leinster final

Wexford's Ben Brosnan
Ben Brosnan is confident Wexford can qualify for the Leinster SFC final.

Having disposed of Louth in Drogheda on Sunday, the Model County now await the winners of Saturday's Wicklow V Meath clash and will reach the provincial decider if they manage to win their next outing.

"We are on the easier side of the draw," the Bannow/Ballymitty clubman observes in The Irish Daily Star. "Anyone on this side of the draw wins a game and they are aiming for a Leinster final.

"We stayed away from Kildare and Dublin and there's no reason why we can't get to another Leinster final."

The Wexford attacker adds that Sunday's victory vindicates manager Aidan O'Brien: "Aidan was under a lot of pressure.

"But I said no-one remembers the league if you win a Leinster final or get to another Leinster final and I am delighted for Aidan because he has put in savage work and everyone was criticising him the way we did get relegated."
