Wexford forward Jack Guiney will not be part of the county squad this year.

Guiney has not linked up with the squad at all this year as he had to take a break from hurling due to a head injury sustained away from hurling.

However, the talented youngster who burst onto the county scene last year is back playing with his club and will line out for Rathnure in the opening round of the SHC this weekend.

But, Wexford manager Liam Dunne has confirmed that Guiney will not be part of his plans for the remainder of the year. Tweet
