Adrian Morrissey has been ruled out of Wexford's All-Ireland qualifier campaign after undergoing groin surgery.
The highly-rated wing back, who won an All-Ireland club medal with Kilmacud Crokes earlier this year, was forced to retire with the injury in the closing stages of Wexford's Leinster SFC quarter-final defeat to Kildare, and will now miss the rest of the season.
Wexford manager Jason Ryan is also resigned to being without Matty Forde for Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier with Offaly. The former All-Star is ruled out with a long-term back problem.
David Walsh remains sidelined with an ankle problem, while further doubts surround the availability of newcomer Graeme Molloy and Eric Bradley, who are both struggling with groin problems.
