Dunne tells Cork to get on with it

Former Wexford hurling star Liam Dunne has advised Cork's disgruntled hurlers to "put the jersey before their egos" or face the prospect of their inter-county careers petering out.
The 1996 All-Ireland winning half back said: "I felt originally that there would be no choice other than for manager Gerald McCarthy to resign.
"But if the Cork hurlers want to prolong their careers, they will have to put the jersey before their egos because player power has been beaten this time. In 2002, when the players first took a stand, they had a team on the rise but a lot of these lads are now on the downslope and this team won't win an All-Ireland unless new fellas are introduced.
"Cork players should be thinking of the jersey now and what the GAA is all about."
