Well done to the minor hurling team who have reached the county minor hurling final. On Saturday morning last they defeated a very strong ferns St. Aidanís team in the county semi-final played in Kilmore. At one stage during the game they were down by 8 points but after a great second half performance they came through by 2 points on a score line of 3-11 to 2-12. A penalty with 4 minutes remaining scored by Mark Maloney and an Aaron Goff insurance point sealed a win that was fully deserved. The team lined out as follows, Noel Casey, Denis Kenny, finbarr OíFlaherty, Rory Cardiff, Conor OíGrady (0-1), Stephen Cousins (1-0), Aaron Goff (0-3), Robert Cousins, Daithi Moore, Tom White (0-2), Mark Maloney (1-5), Niall Reid, Dean Codd (1-0), Shane Goff, John McDonald. Subs David Murphy, James Barry A great effort has been put in by these players this year and they fully deserve to be in this yearís county final after coming through a very tough group. The opposition in the final will be Monageer /Boolavogue. Please see the fixtures in the sports section for venue and time. Please come and support them in the county final.
