After 32 years in the top flight, HWH-Bunclody have been relegated back into intermediate football ranks. They relinquished their senior status when losing their relegation play-off final to Duffry Rovers by 1-8 to 1-5 at Enniscorthy on Sunday last. It was heartbreaking for the Bunclody men as Alan O'Neill's last-minute goal consigned them to the dreaded drop. Bunclody were crowned senior champions in 1982 and '85 and also contested the finals of 1977, '80 and '81. As recently as last year, they reached the semi-final stage. Tweet
