Naomh Eanna Club Notes

The U12 B hurling team lost out to G o Hanrahans in the quarter finals of the championship on Sunday morning. It was a great achievement for this team to reach the knockout stages of both the hurling and football. Well done to all involved. The U14 hurlers face Rapparees in the County Final on Sunday morning next at 11 in Camolin. The intermediate footballers play Marshalstown on Saturday at 3.30 in Patricks Park. Victory will see them qualify for the County quarter finals. Well done to all those involved in the u10 hurling tournament on Saturday afternoon. James Stephens defeated Naomh Eanna in the Final. Ballygunner were victories in the Shield Final.The tournament was a fantastic success. The minor footballers received a walkover from Black/Amber Gaels on Saturday morning. With two games left thet are in a strong position to qualify for the semi finals. The minor hurlers travel to Rosslare on Saturday morning next.   The club would like to congratulate Darragh Mc Donald on his recent win in China. Everyone is encouraged to come along Tuesday night for Darraghs homecoming on Gorey Main Street.   There was no winner in the clubs weekly lotto draw. Next weeks jackpot stands at a record Ä12,200.    Last week end saw our Club host its 5th annual under 10 hurling tournament, this year we hosted 20 teams, with James Stephens from Kilkenny edeging out Naomh Eanna A team in the final. In the group stages Naomh Eanna beat the Shelmaliers from Wexford, Ballyhale Shamrocks >from Kilkenny and Naas from Kildare, this set up a Semi final for Naomh Eanna with St Johns from Belfast, our boys won this very exciting game by 3 points. This year we entered a second team for the first time, the B team equipped themselves well with a victory in the group stages. Our under 8 hurlers finished up their season on saturday evening thanks to all the mentors for their hard work. Next Friday night 26th in the club is the social night for all the parents our under 8 hurlers and footballers, everyone welcome Our under 12b hurlers were beated in the county quarter final on sunday morning last in New Ross by Geraldine O'Hanrahans will done to all the lads for getting to this stage in the championship, this was our first year in putting 2 teams into the under 12 championship. Our under 10 footballers had a great win over Starlights/Rapperees in the Seamus Keevins football cup final last wednesday. Bord na Og committee meeting tonight wednesday at 8.30pm
