The intermediate hurlers qualified for the County Quarter finals following a 2.12 to 0.10 victory over Ballyfad on Saturday. The quarter finals are due to be played on the first weekend in October. Well Done also to Goreys very own cheerleaders on the sideline at the game!!!   The junior hurlers lost out to Askamore in the District semi final on Sunday evening 2.12 to 0.14.   The intermediate footballers will play Marshalstown on Saturday 27th September at 3.30 in Patricks Park in their final group match. Victory will see them qualify for the quarter finals.   The junior footballers are provisionally fixed to play their District semi final on Sunday 28th September.   The U16 footballers have qualified for the County Final following a 2.14 to 0.5 victory over Monageer on Saturday morning.
