Volunteers Club Notes
September 15, 2008
The under 14 hurlers rapped up their year with a great trip to Youghal. They
played hurling and football and afterwards went to the amusements and for
food. Unfortunately most of the lads saved their best shooting for the Lazer
games, but a great day out was had by all ,thanks to all the lads for their
effort with the hurling this year, to the parents and the mentors.
Congratulations to the U-12 footballers on reaching the county final, and
best of luck to the U-14 footballers who will be hoping to win their county
semi-final, which is down for decision this weekend.
The Junior Hurlers drew their third group match of their Junior D campaign,
tying 1-06 to 2-3 with the St. Martins. A win from their final game against
last years District winners, St. Anne's, will guarantee them a district
semi-final berth. The footballers continued their championship preparations
against Kilmacaud Crokes, recording a narrow in Parc Garman last Saturday.
Training for all adult teams continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm at
Pairc Garman. For further information about this, the club and our underage
schedules please visit, www.volunteersgaa.com.
