Paul Galvin will be the next Wexford senior football manager.

Wexford GAA has this morning released a statement confirming that the former Kerry star has been nominated to take charge of the Model County for the next two seasons.

The appointment is subject to his ratification at the next Wexford County Board meeting in September.

The statement reads:

"A four-time All-Ireland winner and three-time All-Star during his playing career, Paul impressed the selection committee during the interview process with his knowledge of and passion for the game along with his vision for Wexford football at both Senior and Development level.
