Intermediate Championship Our intermediate team are scheduled to play Caulry in the championship on Wednesday the 2nd of July in Shandonagh at 7.45. All support welcome. Intermediate League CFCW 4-15 St Pauls 0-4 Our intermediate team travelled to Clonmellon on Sunday the 22nd of June. In what were difficult conditions we ran out comfortable winners on the day. We were well on top in the first half all over the field and this was reflected on the score board where we scored an unanswered goal and 10 points. The goal came from Eric Sullivan while the points came from Ryan Plunkett(4), Aaron Farrell(3), and one each from Danny McDermott, Donie Moore and Tommy McGlynn. Half Time CFCW 1-10; St Pauls 0-4 Finea started the second half strongly with goals from Eric Sullivan and Ray Sheridan and a point from Colin Farrell. St Pauls replied with a point before two points from Plunkett. St Pauls got three points in a row before Finea finished the scoring with a point from Micheal Reynolds and a goal from Tommy McGlynn. Well done to all the lads, we still have to play Loughnavalley, St Josephs and Caulry in this division. A very impressive first half performance by Finea proved to be the difference on the day. In the first half which we dominated we opened the scoring with two frees from Micheal Reynolds followed by a point from David Thompson. Finea made use of possession with good scores from Alan Brady, Reynolds(2) and Donie Moore. St Josephs replied with a point before Enda Sheridan raised the green flag for Finea. Finea were in complete control at this stage and the scores followed from Reynolds with a free, Brady, Moore and McGlynn(2) before St Josephs scored the final point of the half. Half Time CFCW 1-13; St Josephs 0-2 In the second half the game was a tighter contest but our lads still played some good football. The visitors scored three points in succession before a goal and two points from Moore either side of a St Josephs point. St Josephs got another three points but Finea replied with point from Colm Hennessy and a goal from Stephen Boylan. St Josephs scored another point before Micheal Reynolds finshed the scoring with a point from a dead ball and a goal.
