John Heslin and Ger Egan are notable absentees from the Westmeath team for tomorrow's All-Ireland Round 4A qualifier against Fermanagh.

Top scorer Heslin isn't included in the match-day 26 after suffering a fractured heel in the lead-up to the Leinster final defeat by Dublin, while team captain Egan injured his groin in training on Tuesday night. However, he is fit enough to take his place on the bench.

The team shows three changes from the Leinster final, with Kieran Gavin, John Connellan and Denis Glennon replacing David Lynch, Egan and Heslin.

Former skipper Gavin, who appeared as a sub against Dublin, makes his first start in over a year at full back after battling back from a long-term Achilles injury. He is set to be handed the task of marking Fermanagh danger-man Sean Quigley.

The experienced Glennon, meanwhile, starts at full forward after coming off the bench against Wexford, Meath and Dublin. John Gilligan is named at wing forward, but is expected to be deployed in a sweeper role.

Westmeath (SF v Fermanagh): Darren Quinn; Kevin Maguire, Kieran Gavin, Frank Boyle; Killian Daly, Paddy Holloway, James Dolan; Denis Corroon, Paul Sharry; John Gilligan, Ray Connellan, Kieran Martin; John Connellan, Denis Glennon, Shane Dempsey.
