Westmeath minor manager Johnny Greville admitted that their defeat to Dublin in the Leinster MHC semi-final was a learning curve.

Greville did admit to being 'gutted' after the manner of the defeat as there were high hopes that the Lake County could reach this year's provincial decider.

Speaking to the Westmeath Independent he said: "It was a learning curve. As I said down in Wexford, my job is to educate these lads for the road ahead of them because they are moving up to senior grade.

"That day against Wexford was an education and we came out on top. Against Dublin, it was an education and we didn't come out on top."
