Cribbin plays down home advantage

Westmeath manager Tom Cribbin believes that playing at home can bring about its own disadvantages.

The Lake County will take on Wexford at Cusack Park on June 14th and although everyone favours a home tie, Cribbin told the Westmeath Independent that they have not exactly made Cusack Park a fortress.

"Of course, we will like playing at home, but sometimes playing at home brings a lot of pressure on you too," said Cribbin.

"Until you get a few wins, maybe sometimes it's better to be on the road. Hopefully, we'll get the crowd behind us at home and it will help."
