John Mitchel's of Lancashire have qualified for their second All-Ireland club JFC final in six years after overcoming Westmeath's Moate All-Whites by 1-9 to 1-6 in Navan.

The Liverpool lads will have to wait another week to find out who they will be facing at Croke Park in the middle of February after extra-time failed to separate Kerry's Brosna and The Rock of Tyrone in the other semi-final at Ballinasloe.

Brosna scored the last three points to force extra-time on a 0-9 to 1-6 scoreline and the additional period produced just two further scores as the sides finished level, 0-10 to 1-7.

At Pairc Tailteann, a second half goal from former St. Loman's player Kieran Lynam proved a fatal blow to his fellow county men's hopes of reaching the All-Ireland final.

An injury to Moate 'keeper Darren McArdle caused a 22-minute stoppage to the first half, at the end of which the sides were level on 0-3 apiece. But Lynam's goal with 20 minutes to go helped Mitchel's to a six-point lead before Cian Bradley netted at the other end to reduce the gap to two points, 1-6 to 1-8.

However, Mitchel's held on for the win, despite having Kieran Lynam sent off on a second yellow card in injury-time.
