Moate All-Whites manager Paul Conway is adamant that John Mitchels will provide tough opposition in their All-Ireland club JFC semi-final on Sunday.

The Westmeath and Leinster champions take on U.K based opposition for a place in the All-Ireland decider and Conway stressed to the Westmeath Independent although many may feel that teams based here should be clubs that are based over there, that is not always the case.

Only five years ago, John Mitchels reached the All-Ireland club JFC final and they still have many of that side available to them now.

"I think some people have the impression that Irish teams should always beat teams from England, but that's not the case anymore," said Conway.

"There are so many lads heading across the water and further afield for work now, so there's plenty of talented footballers in England and other countries across the world.

"We know that getting to an All-Ireland final in Croke Park is huge incentive to players and our lads have done brilliantly to get this far. There's not too many players in Westmeath that get that opportunity to represent their club in Croke Park, but our lads are one step away."
