Caulry have made a major coup in managerial circles as Peter Leahy will manage them in 2015.

The former All-Ireland winning Westmeath Ladies and St Malachy's coach was in the running for the Lake County senior football manager's job this year.

Despite, being put forward for ratification for the job by a sub-committee, delegates opted not to ratify Leahy in the role.

Now he is with Caulry and admitted to the Westmeath Independent that he was intrigued by the offer.

"I love going with the underdog," said Leahy. "I haven't taken on an easy role in my life. Caulry are a club with a lot going for them, and when I met their board about four or five weeks ago, I was very impressed by their enthusiasm."
