Casserly withdraws from chairman nomination

November 19, 2014

Former inter-county referee Pat Casserly has withdrawn his name from being nominated for the position of Westmeath GAA chairman.

It had looked as if the St Loman's clubman would run against current incumbent Sean Sheridan after he was nominated to do so last week.

However, Casserly has declined the opportunity to run for the position and is taking a break from all GAA activity for the foreseeable future.

Now, it looks as if Sheridan will return for another term as chairman, his third in total.
