saturday 27th
Junior B Championship semi- final
St.marys vs Garrycastle
Both these two teams locked horns in Garrycastle for this game.It was St.Marys that started the stronger and were really working hard as a unit.We seen some very well worked scores and brilliant defending from our lads.St.Marys were to there credit working hard and taking every oppurtunity and taking there scores. Our lads were 9 points to 3 in front at the break , we expected garrycastle to come out all guns blazing in the second half and thats what they did but it was the sheer workmanship that our lads brought to the table and we really got stuck in ourselves and put some fine scores over,st.marys ran out winners on a scoreline of st.marys 1-14 garrycastle 0-7.

St.Marys were invited over to play them last saturday morning,we fielded 2 teams and we seen some cracking football by both teams, our players showed great character and strength and we seen some brilliant individual play and we also seen some brilliant team spirit and its a credit to the girls and boys and mentors. We seen some brilliant point taking throughout the morning and it was great to play 4 games and win all 4 games.Well done to all.

u 10   (4 county blitz)
Last saturday we were invited to take part in a  blitz in edenderry gaa ground.we played Rhode,Edenderry and Sarsfields of kildare,Our lads worked really hard and never gave up and treated every game as a final and showed great resolve and character throughout the morning,we got the better of Rhode, pipped by a score by edenderry and lost out to sarsfields but this was a learning curve for the 12 lads that togged out for st.marys and one in which they enjoyed,The lads were unbeaten coming into this blitz and it was great to play other teams from other countys and see where work can be done to improve even better. The lads enjoyed the day and went home happy boys in the end.Huge thanks to Edenderry Gaa for the wonderful hospitality and for the food that was laid out for us.huge success.
