Westmeath Camogie Notes

County 9-a-side Blitz
Westmeath Camogie held a 9-a-side blitz in Castletown Geoghegan last Sunday. Open to all Senior and Junior clubs, eight clubs entered with Drumraney, Clonkill, Raharney and Cullion making up one group whilst Castletown Geoghegan, Crookedwood, St. Bridgets and Brownstown made up the other.
The results of the league matches were as follows:

Following the league stages Cullion and Castletown emerged as the winners of the two groups and played out an enjoyable final with Cullion running out winners on a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-3.
Well done to all the clubs for taking part in this very enjoyable blitz. Thanks to all who helped out with pitches, teas, referees etc.

All Ireland Premier Junior Championship
Best of luck to the county Junior team when they take on Roscommon in Athleague on Sunday in their opening match in the All Ireland Premier Junior Championship.

U16B Championship
The U16s travel to Waterford next Sunday to take on the home side in the U16B All Ireland Championship. Best of luck to all concerned.

Nominations
The county board are seeking nominations for the following:-

Finance Committee
We are looking to set up a committee to assist us in fundraising. The first event is 5k on Wednesday 7th August in Lilliput.


Social & Inclusion Officer
We are seeking nominations for a person to sit on the Social & Inclusion committee which Westmeath GAA are setting up. We need to have a camogie representative on this new committee.

Clubs are asked to forward their nominations to Mary Glynn as soon as possible.

U18 Pick 'n Mix
The county board will be running an U18 pick n' mix on the weekend of 6th/7th July. All under 18 players are invited to attend. Teams will be picked on the day from pool of players.

Outstanding Fees
There are a couple of Summer Levy and Feile Fees still outstanding. Clubs are asked to these in as soon as possible.

Cups
Can all clubs ensure that any cups from last year are returned to the county board by the next meeting.

County Board Meeting
Delegates are asked to note that the July meeting of the county board will take place on Monday 8th July in the Annebrook Hotel at 8pm.
