LOTTO RESULTS
There was one winner of our jackpot of €3,400 last weekend and the lucky person was Elaine Ayers. Numbers drawn were 1, 3, 23 and 24. Only one person had three numbers and that was Amanda Brennan pro Niall Brennan. Promoters prize went to Declean Feery and players prize went to Damian Donoghue. Next weeks jackpot will be €2,000 and the draw will take place in the Hazel.

Garrycastle 0-15 Tyrrellspass 1-08
Tyrrellspass travelled to Garrycastle on Tuesday last to take on the home in Div 1 of the ACFL. On a damp on showery evening both sides served up a competitive game. Garrycastle were quickly off the mark and scored a point in the first minute. It could have been worse but for a fingertip save from Brendan Daly who deflected a shot onto the Tyrrellspass crossbar and away to safety. After 10 minutes Tyrrellspass were dealt a blow when Conor Slevin picked up an injury and had to leave the field, being replaced by Brendan Sheridan. Two minutes later Tyrrellspass were off the mark with a pointed free from Ger Egan. Garrycastle were finding their range and scored a further three points in quick succession. Then a disputed effort, which Tyrrellspass supporters felt had split the posts, was waved wide. Garrycastle then added another two points before Gavin Hoey launched himself into an attack and fed the ball to Ger Egan who found the back of the opponents net with aplomb to leave the score 0-6 to 1-1. Garrycastle added another point before Dean McNicholas and Egan added points to leave only one between the teams. Just on the stoke of half time Garrycastle scored from another free to lead by two at the break. David Glennon was replaced by brother Denis at the restart but it was the home team who increased their lead to three from a free kick. Egan replied with a point from a free and Denis Glennon added another from play to leave the minimum between the sides. The home team scored three points before a Glennon free kick reduced the margin to three, however Garrycastle were finding the target with more success and added a further three points from play before Glennon and Egan (from a free) finished off the scoring leaving the score Garrycastle 0-15, Tyrrellspass 1-08:

GOLF CLASSIC
