Cavan's Catherina Mc Kiernan, one of Irish Athletics most gifted long distance runners has also indicated that she may join us and we would be delighted if she does. Catherina has numerous international titles to her credit notably the Berlin Marathon in 1997 and London and Berlin in 1998,not forgetting how she represented us in the Olympics. Catherina really enjoys taking part runs such as ours and we hope that she can find time in her busy schedule to fit our date in. This year we are taking our race up a level in that we have organised a child-minding facility for a situation whereby parents either both would like to take part in the run or have no babysitter at home, they can drop their child or children of at our designated child safe area for the duration of the event. It is imperative that this service is pre-booked, so as to allow us to make the appropriate preparations for whatever number that may avail of this service. To pre-book please contact Paula @087-6293791. On a final note we are strongly advising everyone to pre-register as soon as possible and for any further information regarding any aspect of the event, please contact Ray@ 087-2264205.
