Championship
We played Caulry in the second round of the championship last Sunday afternoon in Lakepoint Park, Mullingar. We started the game brightly and played with a far higher intensity and belief than we had against Rochfortbridge. Caulry scored an early goal but we responded with one of our own through an Eoin Miller penalty, Michael Ennis having been dragged down when through on goal. Caulry applied more pressure to our defence and were rewarded with a five point lead at half time, having used their possession to better effect than Ballinagore. We started the second half brightly , scoring an early point and putting the Caulry backs under huge pressure, but again we did not have the scoring power up front, and Caulry picked off several more points to to take a handsome lead and finish out the game comfortably on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-4. Team: Cathal Daly, Mark King, Martin Linnane, Enda Claffey, Kieran Deegan, Michael Ennis, James Sheerin, Frankie Deegan, Eoin Miller 1-2 (1-0 pen, 2f), Shane Heraty, Rory Tynan 0-1, Tommy McDaniel, Cathal Ennis 0-1, Ian Seery, Paul Maloney (Capt.). Subs Used: Brian Sheerin for Tommy McDaniel (Injured), Pat Heduan for Shane Heraty, Robert Gannon for James Sheerin, Brandon Carey for Paul Maloney, Paul Maloney for Rory Tynan (injured), Cathal Tynan for Paul Maloney. Rest of Panel: Dan Gavin, Declan Claffey, Paddy Ennis, Willie Gavin, Michael Gannon, David Slevin,

Lotto
The numbers drawn this week were 3, 4, 10 and 17. There was no jackpot winner and no-one matched three numbers. Next weeks jackpot will be €8,220. The lotto is our main fundraiser and we would encourage everyone to support it.

Ballinagore Rounders
We played Erne Eagles from Mullahoran, Co Cavan in the second round of the championship last Sunday afternoon in Ballinagore. The Cavan sides' experience showed on the day and even though we had a very good start, with three batters out from three pitches, the visitors soon found their feet and took control of the game from the second innings on. Our next fixture is also at home against Limekiln of Dublin on 23rd June. Thanks to referee Michael Dowling (The Heath, Laois) for travelling to referee the game. Team: Gabrielle Seery, Avril Gannon, Sean Claffey, Aoife Deegan, Nollaig Gannon, Áine Heraty, Colette Claffey, Dympna Claffey, Kevin Deegan, Paul Roche, Aisling Heraty, Eavan Gannon. Training continues this Wednesday at 8pm in Ballinagore and all are welcome.
