Milltownpass GAA Notes

January 23, 2012
Underage registration:
The underage registration date has been fixed for Saturday 28th January between 12pm and 2pm.
Due to the construction of the new parish facilities, the registration will take place in the national school. All players under the age of 18 are asked to come along and register, and we would particularly like to see new players/members to come along and get involved in the club. We will be taking orders for club gear on the day i.e. Club togs, Club socks, club jackets and beanie hats (deposit required). Membership fees are unchanged from last year. Family membership €25.00 (includes all players under 18) Single membership €15.00. We look forward to meeting everyone on the day.

Lotto:
Results 16th January: Numbers Drawn - 1,8,11,19
The Jackpot (€2.000) was won by Mary Casey.

There were seven match three winners. Shane Manning, Shane & Billy Flanagan, Tom Gorman, Nora Ryan, Marie McNamee Siobhan Loran and Ita Murtagh.
Sellers Prize - Cepta Plunkett.
Congratulations to all and thank you for your continued support.

Bingo:
The club bingo continues on Monday nights in the Parish hall Rochfortbridge.

Hard Luck!
As usual, the club was well represented on the St. Josephs senior school team. Unfortunately they bowed out of this year's championship to a strong St. Pats side from Navan. Hard luck to Liam O'Reilly, Gavin Glennon Jack Gorman and Shane Corcoran.

Championship Draw:
The draw for the intermediate championship 2012 is scheduled to take place at the County Board meeting Wed 25th Jan. We will post the detail in next week's notes and they will also be available on the club website www.milltownpassgaa.ie

Condolences:
It was with great sadness that the people of Milltownpass GAA learned of the passing of Club President Tony (Anthony) Nolan. Having been the first Chairman of the club when it was founded in 1977 Tony was a great supported and contributor to the Club since its inception. We extend our sincerest sympathies to the family and friends of Tony and in particular to Tony's son our Club Treasure John Nolan.
