Senior Championship Quarter Final
Plunketts face the challenge of Ringtown this coming Friday evening in Cusack Park at 6:15pm. A win would see a meeting with Clonkill in the county semi final. All underage players from U8s through to minors should make a huge effort to attend this game if they can to support our senior players.
U16s lose out to Clon
Our U16s lost out to Clonkill last Tuesday evening in Robinstown. Plunketts had do without the services of the injured Jack Quinn,Dylan Cannon and Ricky McCarthy while several other key players were marked absent. Plunketts led several times during the early periods of the match, mainly through the prolific scoring of Conor Lynch in midfield, but Clonkill asserted more authority in the second half, eventually getting a stranglehold on the game. Those to impress for the home side was the aforementioned Lynch and Conor O'Brien while Daniel McKeown was very solid in the backs. Neil Harrison, Killian Donoher & Ciaran Mullen had some good moments throughout.
Squad: Ciaran Mullen, Neil Harrison, Daniel McKeown, Davy Heffernan, Killian Donoher, Conor O'Brien, Cian Brennan, Conor Lynch, Luke Craig, Cathal Burke, Danny Purcell, Aaron Fitzgerald, Seán Reville,

Westmeath U16s
Well done to Westmeath U16s who won the All-Ireland U16B hurling competition on Saturday. Well done in particular to Plunketts lads Conor Lynch, Cian Brennan & Luke Craig who were all part of the squad and now have All-Ireland hurling medals in their pockets, and deservedly so. The club is very proud of their achievements. Westmeath defeated Mayo, Down & Carlow in the group stages which were all played in Robinstown. They eventually saw off Kerry after extra time in an exciting semi-final and won out the competition in the final in Cusack Park after beating Kildare. Its 19 years since Westmeath last won this so well done to Ray Gavin, his selectors and his team.
Many thanks to our caretaker Seán , John Curley & Gerry Geraghty in preparing the pitches ready and having the place looking very well.
