St Oliver Plunketts Hurling Club are having a fund-raising night on Sat 6th February 2010. The "Lord of the Ring" is a fun 'white collar' boxing tournament. It will feature local sports people and some well known faces from Mullingar & Westmeath meeting face to face in the boxing ring. It takes place on Saturday 6th February 2010, in the Mullingar Park Hotel with doors opening at 7:30pm These events are the latest new form of fund raising that's taking the country by storm with tournaments having already successfully taken place in Kildare, Cork & Monoghan. It would be a shame then to miss the opportunity to report on something new and different making its debut in Westmeath!!   St Oliver Plunketts wishes to invite all local media to this event to take photos and write articles or conduct interviews, if they wish to do so on the night.
