Castledaly GAA Notes

April 06, 2020

GAA activities suspended until further notice in line with GAA and government COVID19 instructions, to protect health and safety of members and supporters, their families and friends.   The GAA grounds including playground are closed to prevent spreading virus.

Please look after yourselves and each other, and remember to look after the vulnerable and elderly during these difficult times.

In conjunction with Westmeath County Council , Castledaly GAA  have signed up to offer our help in the provision of a community helpline in the following areas -

1.Collection and delivery of food/fuel/medicine etc

2.Transport for people who may have appointments which they need to attend

3.Visiting those on their own/aged or feeling isolated (at a safe distance of course)

4.Provision of meals for those in need .

Sympathies and prayers with families and friends of Noel Cuffe Ballymore, and Michael Hanley, Tang, who passed away recently.  May they rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all families who have lost loved ones in recent weeks.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.

Hospitals in Portiuncla, Mullingar, and Tullamore are asking people to donate any baby monitors they no longer need, as they can be used by hospital staff to communicate with their patients.

We ask our friends to show their colours, and fly their club or county flags to show their community spirit and support for each other.
